Happy Fall! (including Fufu Stew’s Funky Fast Food)

Hello, kiddies.

Those of you who know me very well are aware of my severe dislike of the summer season. It’s too hot, too humid and not to mention it wreaks havoc on me at my job. Well, the day has finally come… this Tuesday begins my all time favourite season, that being the fall. I know that it doesn’t officially begin for another couple of weeks, but in my opinion, once labour day is a memory, I can not only breathe easier, but I can give the air conditioner a rest!

Now I don’t want to put a bummer on those of you who actually enjoy the summer. Since there’s still a few hours left before August comes to a close (depending upon where you live in the world), here’s another patented Funk Fix for you before September’s 45 rpm festival commences. As I keep sifting through those boxes of LPs, I continue to be amazed at some of the long lost treasures that lurk inside. What better way to wind up another long hot summer than by spinning some more funky album cuts. This (almost) all 33 1/3 rpm exercise was inspired by my 4BB comrades, so let me send a big shoutout to them and the many faithful readers who visit us.

Now since I am once again pressed for time (I did have to take on yet another shift at the salt mines), the thought came to me to call this one Fufu Stew’s Funky Fast Food. Even though I don’t eat the stuff anymore, with the exception of the occasional egg and cheese sandwich here and there (I haven’t eaten any meat in over twenty years after all), I can appreciate the need to get a fast meal so with that said, let’s dive into this funky list of ingredients… (ironically enough, this one took about two weeks to make; I would have certainly complained to the manger by then 🙂 )

Now before I get ready for another taxing day at work tomorrow, I must give a shoutout to Pharoah’s Dance, the newest member of the army. As always, mad props for all your hard work and dedication…

…and speaking of the 4BB team, I’m going on public record right here and sending out a mandatory invitation to Lafayette, Soulbrotha and Arkane1 to “come on in my kitchen”… you’ll hear from me soon enough, gentlemen 😛

I’m also going back on tour in an attempt to spread peace love and even more 45s, including the return of the Soul Exchange! More details to come soon.

And for those of you who are fortunate to spend labour day not working, have a good one and as always, please be safe.

Peace and blessings.

  3. Chef,

Sorry, but this is not some fast food low-cal veggy burger you are serving up here, this is yet another hefty-hunk-O-steamin’-fufu-funk. (YES!!!)

Thanks for sharing, it’s way appreciated.
